Welcome to the HM Engineering Open Wheel Challenge brought to you by World SimSports.
About this series
The HM Engineering Open Wheel Challenge will run over six months, with 4 rounds of 6 weeks each. Drivers compete to win races and round championships, with all points totaled to crown the overall Open Wheel Challenge champion.
The circuits for each round are regionally focused. The rounds are:
Round 1: Asia (two visits to Sentul to honour our sponsor) – Check the schedule tab
Round 2: Europe
Round 3: Australia / NZ
Round 4: USA
Details of circuits for later rounds will be published closer to that round launch.
Not everyone feels able to mix it with the front runners, so we offer Pro and Am divisions with both classes running on the track at the same time. Drivers can choose which championship to run in, however admins may override these choices based upon historical driver performance.
Race times
Qualifying starts on the published race times. There will be a 15 minute private qualifying session, followed by 5 minute warmup and then the races.
Rules
All normal WSS Rules apply, and there are no override rules for this series.
Our events will be live streamed via Twitch and Youtube so if you cannot make the race you can still spectate. We also have a living timing page so you can follow the action live via our Raceview portal. Our aim is to provide a competitive series for all skill levels . But with that in mind we do not allow the use of controllers in the series.
Please refer to our calendar for our race dates and locations and signup on the Registration tab.
Tracks and templates for the cars are available on the Required Downloads tab.
